If you're Kate Upton, you don't have to buy YouTube likes. Once upon a time, young Kate Upton was just like any other aspiring model. She had a pretty face that got her signed to a couple of agencies (Elite Model Management), but she found herself doing low-level commercial work for Guess and Garage. In April 2011, a YouTube video of her "doing the Dougie" dance at an LA Clippers game went viral... and, as they say, the rest is history! Now she's signed to IMG in New York City (alongside Gisele Bündchen, Heidi Klum and Kate Moss). She quickly ascended to #2 on AskMen's list of "99 Most Desirable Women List" (right behind Sophia Vergera). Most recently, the 19-year-old graced the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swim Suit Edition, which was [...]

Some YouTube marketing experts are treating India's market with kid gloves. Making headlines across the Internet, you'll see a number of articles alleging that there are Indian crusaders who care not for Internet freedom because people are publishing all sorts of "offensive content" on Google, Facebook, Yahoo and YouTube! According to Vinay Rai, the editor of a little-known Delhi-based daily called Akbari, he has every right to file criminal complaints against YouTube marketing people who publish content that offends him. He is raising a stink "in public interest and as an affected person who believes in a secular India," he says. Rai goes on to argue, "These accused persons knowingly well these facts that these contents and materials are most dangerous for the community and peace of the harmony." O...

I remember when MTV first came out and we all tuned in to watch everything from Genesis's "Land of Confusion" to Dire Strait's "Money For Nothing." Late at night, Headbanger's Ball would come on and after school, it was always the Top 20 Countdown and Yo MTV Raps. We looked forward to their annual end-of-year review of the best music videos. But alas, trashy reality shows took over and MTV is no longer a place to watch music videos at all! Yet, our insatiability to see our favorite artists has not quieted down. Instead, we are gobbling it up on YouTube -- on our mobile phones, our iPads, our laptops, and even our HDTVs. Unless you happen to be LMFAO or Jennifer Lopez, you're probably wondering how to get [...]

Last year, the Super Bowl topped its own record as one of the “Most Watched TV Shows Of All-Time.” It's not that 71 percent of all American households are comprised of "football fanatics," but it's more a reflection that the final pro football game of the year has become an event -- a social tradition that is not to be missed. We love getting together with family and friends, drinking beer, eating food, placing bets, and even watching the commercials. A Harris Interactive survey conducted last year found that 54 percent of all viewers were "at least somewhat likely" to pay attention to the ads. A

The number of daily YouTube plays has finally reached 4 Billion. This represents a 25 percent increase over the past eight months, according to company data. Analysts say the dramatic spike in YouTube plays coincides with the increasing number of consumers who are accessing the site from their HDTVs and smartphones, in addition to their PCs. Here are some other interesting statistics about YouTube plays to consider: - 60 Hours of video gets uploaded to YouTube every minute (which is up from 48 hours in May 2011) - Google purchased YouTube for $1.65 Billion in 2006 - Graphic display ads integ...

Date: Dec 22, 2012 - We're getting information that YouTube may have some View Count issues causing counters to be updated really slowly.
"We have been hearing a few reports of viewcounts being slow to update. There is currently a temporary backlog in the system that disseminates public viewcount data to users. New videos uploaded during this backlog period--from now until when this is resolved--may also experience delayed public viewcount updates. Public viewcounts will increment to accurate levels in the next few days as we clear the backlog." - Dec 16th
This was last week but could apply to our customers who started back then or have large campaigns. If you're one of our customers, please be patient as we're aware of the issue and monitoring campaigns. If you have any questio...
